A fallen tree limb left nearly 5,000 Nashville Electric Service customers without power in Hendersonville on Wednesday afternoon, NES confirmed.
The outage near New Shackle Island Road was reported around 2 p.m. and NES dispatched crews to the scene.
NES tweeted that crews were en route to the scene to investigate the cause of the outage.
Around 3 p.m., crews discovered the limb fallen on a power line.
As of 3:20 pm. the number of affected customers was less than 400.
